The Challenge
Facing increasing exposure to risks such as cyberattacks, reputational damage, supply chain disruption and operational vulnerabilities, a leading makeup brand recognised the need to strengthen its Business Continuity and Crisis Management capabilities. The organisation sought to ensure it could respond decisively to disruptions while protecting both operations and customer trust.
Our Approach
Horizonscan reviewed the existing Business Continuity policies and frameworks, supported by a detailed Business Impact Analysis that identified the critical processes and the dependencies behind them. Risk Registers were refined to prioritise the key vulnerabilities.
Tailored Crisis Simulation Exercises — focused on product recalls and IT resilience — then tested the response capability in practice. Training workshops followed, covering crisis management awareness and media handling, aligned with ISO 22301.
From reactive processes to a structured, simulation-tested crisis response capability.
The Outcome
The organisation developed a more structured and confident approach to crisis management, supported by clearly defined roles, improved documentation and tested response procedures.
- Leadership teams gained practical experience through simulations, enabling faster and more coordinated decision-making under pressure.
- A sustainable resilience framework was established, embedding ongoing risk monitoring and preparedness into daily operations.
